Member of ParliamentEllisfield is in the Basingstoke Parliamentary Constituency. The current MP is Maria Miller (Conservative), who was elected in May 2005 with a 4,680 majority.
Further information from: County CouncillorEllisfield is within Hampshire County Council's BDBC Candovers electoral division (11,112 electorate). The current County Councillor is Anna McNair Scott (Conservative) who was re-elected in May 2005 (there was a 72.35% turnout) with a 1,688 majority.

All junctions of Basingstoke's ring road have Hospital direction signs. As well as a large car park, there is a drop off point and a number of disabled parking spaces available outside the main entrance. Bus routes 1, 5, 9, 32A and 45 stop outside the hospital. The North Hampshire Hospital was built in the mid seventies with 450 beds and now serves a population of approximately 270,000. The hospital provides a full range of acute & elective services including: * Adult Medicine (including elderly care) The areas of ITU, A&E and fracture clinic have all recently been refurbished and a new building to house the MRI scanner was completed early in 2000. Located within the grounds of the Hospital is Parklands Hospital (catering for psychiatric patients), St Michaels Hospice and The Ark, a new "state of the art" Postgraduate Medical Centre providing the very latest facilities for training and research. Many children of primary school age go to Cliddesden Primary School (01256 321571) which is in the neighbouring village. The school's website can be accessed here. There is a school bus which goes between Ellisfield and Cliddesden School. Times can be obtained here.
