The Fox Inn

The Fox Inn is now under new management with Lynn and Dave Reed taking over in December 2007. The interior comprises the Main Bar (incorporating a "snug area") and the Country Bar which is the main eating area. Both bars have open fireplaces lit during the winter period. Outside, there is a large garden with tables, including a raised decking area. There are ample parking facilities.

Meals are freshly prepared with local ingredients and are made to order. The menu ranges from the light snack to a full 3 course meal including vegetarian, fish, meat and sea food dishes. The menu is regularly enhanced to reflect the availability of fresh produce. It is advisable to reserve tables, particularly at weekends by calling 01256 381210.

The Fox Inn is a real ale pub. It has a wide variety of beers including some of the smaller guest brewers. Equally, the pub has a wide range of wines available, by the glass or bottle with Dave’s private cellar providing fine wines for those special occasions.

The pub welcomes walking and bicycling enthusiasts, attracted by Ellisfield’s renowned countryside, and those with well behaved dogs. Our licence stipulates that children under the age of 10 years are not allowed in the pub after 7.30pm. Children are welcome at all other times.

The Fox Inn holds various functions and events from time to time, details of which can be obtained by calling or visiting the pub. Special events will also be publicised on this web site.
