Parish CouncilEllisfield Parish Council consists of six Councillors elected for a four year term. The Council appoints and employs the Clerk who administers the affairs of the Council between meetings. For contact details click on Councillors and Clerk. MeetingsThe Council meets in public, six to ten times a year, customarily on a Monday , in the Memorial Hall (Church Lane) at 7.30 pm. Dates of the next meeting are normally posted in the events section on the home page of this website shortly after the previous meeting. Dates and times can sometimes vary to allow for Bank Holidays, for example, but the Notice and Agenda for each meeting are always displayed on the village notice boards at least 3 days in advance. At that time, the Agenda is also available on this website by clicking here. An Open Forum session is usually held at the end of each meeting to allow members of the public present to speak and raise any points of general concern to the village. Parish Council NewsletterThe Council publishes a Newsletter, delivered to every home in the Parish. There is no fixed schedule and Newsletters are published as and when matters of general interest arise. In practice this usually means about four times a year. For the most recent click on Newsletter The Annual Parish MeetingThis is usually held in May but the date may vary. It is not a meeting of the Council but an opportunity for all residents to attend to hear reports from the Council, from village organisations, and to raise any other village matters they wish to air. |
