HelpTo help you find the service you need we have provided search and index facilities and a page listing the many ways that you can contact us. These are explained in a little more detail below and, because these facilities are so useful, every page has links to them as prominent buttons at the top and smaller text links at the bottom.
what is ... A-Z Index? Our A-Z Index lists all of the pages of our website, categorized alphabetically, with pages appearing in the listing under as many alternative names as we feel are required to help you find the information that you need. e.g. 'Neighbourhood Watch' is also listed under 'S' as 'Safety (neighbourhood watch)' The A-Z Index also doubles as a handy contact directory. Beside each entry is the name of the group that is responsible for the page and, if the group has email, this will link to a contact form allowing you to send a message from the website. what is ... Search? Our search facility uses keywords which are attached to each page of content to identify the main topics covered within the page. When using the search, please use only a few keywords and make them as relevant as possible. In particular, please do not use full english queries such as 'Where can I find the Village Design Statement?' as this contains many words which will not be identified as keywords and hence will not return many page matches. Instead use a simpler search such as 'village design statement'. A good trick when searching is to use incomplete words to cover multiple endings. If you wanted to match any of 'recycle', 'recyclable' and 'recycling' you could search for 'recyc' and it will match all of these. what is ... Contact Us?This page contains details of a number of means of contacting us:
Furthermore, most pages of our website will have an "email the contact for this page ..." link in the page footer (at the bottom of the page). If you wish to comment or enquire about a particular web page then please use that link as it will direct your message to the most appropriate contact. |
